The Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Julius Yakubu Kundi, paid a condolence visit to the chiefdom of Moro'a over the demise of their Paramount leader, HRH Mallam Tagwai Sambo.May his soul rest in peace.The burial is set for 22nd June 2024 at Moro'a township square, Manchok.

You will recall that the Bishop has been in Ireland for the past week to attend the series of events that will foster a ecclesial communion between sister Diocese. He was with the people of St Brigid's Church, Straffan earlier in the morning for the celebration of the Holy Mass and a chat.
The Bishop, Most Rev Julius Yakubu Kundi, received some members of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) on their courtesy visit to him. They solicit for collaboration and communion in the face of the common concerns of our country.
A cross section of Priests, Religious and Laity gathered to celebrate the Bishop's 27th Priestly Anniversary held at St Peter Claver's Cathedral, Kafanchan. It was a simple event organized by the Cathedral Family to appreciate His Lordship, Most Rev Julius Yakubu Kundi. More fruitful and joyous years of service to God and His people. The Bishop, Most Rev Julius Yakubu Kundi, celebrated the World Mission Sunday at His Cathedral. Concelebrating at the Mass was Fr Okafor Gabriel Tochukwu, who delivered the homily. He showed how the term mission emerges as a Divine attribute. God is missionary in nature and has founded the Church to partake of this nature.

In attendance were the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, ably represented by the Diocesan Chancellor, the Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Shanet who presided over the Mass and was flanked by the host Chaplain who also doubles as the Dean of Jagindi Deanery, Very Rev. Fr. Julius Moses Eyyazo and the Diocesan chaplain of the NFCS, Fr. Festus Didam. The crowd was mammoth as expected and the atmosphere serene with the colourful appearance of the graduands.
The Nunciature in Nigeria has given a press release that the Holy Father, Pope Francis, appointed a new Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria. The new Apostolic Nuncio is His Excellency Most Reverend Michael Francis Crotty. He succeeds His Excellency Most Reverend Antonio Guido Filipazzi, who is now the Apostolic Nuncio to Poland. The press release made available by the Charge d’Affaires to the Nunciature, Msgr Carlo Donati explained that the appointment of Most Reverend Michael Francis Crotty takes effect from July 16, 2024.
